Leather Wrap-around Journal with Pen

I've been exploring a variety of way of closing a book that has a limp cover - this one uses a relatively thin leather in an earthy colour. I wanted to have a way to include a pen.

So I put together this little volume with a nice french link stitch on the spine.

And of course buttons because I have an out-sized adoration of buttons!
